MEETINGS

The Club currently has nearly 300 members of whom approximately 160 members meet every Wednesday for nine categories of group rides.

No. 1 Ride is a long ride, 70-80 km at 25km/h+ average speed. Roads rather than cycle paths are usually used on this ride.
No. 2a Ride is 60-70 km at approx 23km/h average.
No. 2b Ride is around 60 km at approx 20km/h average.
No. 2c Ride is around 50 km at approx 18km/h average.
No. 3a Ride is 40-50km at approx 25km/h average.
No. 3b Ride is 35-45km at approx 18km/h average.
No. 3c Ride is around 35km at approx 16km/h average.
No. 4 Ride is up to 35km at approx 14km/h average.
No. 5 Ride is around 25km easy paced around 12 - 14km/h average.

Be aware, particularly in the faster groups, that this means riding at speeds around 30% faster than the average for a significant part of the ride.

The rides commence from a common point in the metropolitan area and this is varied from week to week. The starting times are changed to suit seasonal conditions and the length of ride.

MEMBERSHIP

To join the club simply attend one of our rides on a Monday, Wednesday or Saturday morning.
