Saturday 4th to Saturday 18th February 2012 at the Peppermint Park Eco Village

Each year, Club members interested in cycling in and around Busselton meet at the Peppermint Eco Park, Caves Road, Busselton. Rides are conducted daily at 7.30 and 8.00 AM and cater for a range of riding abilities. Most rides are completed by midday, leaving the rest of the day for members to explore the Busselton area. From time to time, other activities may be offered on selected evenings. Most are there between the 6th and 17th of February; however people can go earlier and stay for longer or shorter times as desired.
The ride program varies depending on the weather forecast for the day ahead. Details of the following day's rides are discussed at the daily Happy Hour gathering on the lawns near the barbecue area from 5.00pm onwards. Members bring their own drinks, nibbles and chair and enjoy the company of other Club members and get together to hear about the following day's activities.
Most rides are on roads around Busselton, but a mountain bike ride is also included for those who enjoy the challenge of off-road cycling. Also included is a night ride to the jetty for fish and chips. Participants in this ride must have front and rear lights on their bikes.
Members who have not attended one of the Club's previous Busselton cycling camp are very welcome to join in all rides and Happy Hour social gatherings (essential for finding out the following day's program). Whilst it is unlikely they will find accommodation at Peppermint Eco Park at this late stage, they may find accommodation elsewhere in the area and still be able to join in activities.
Further details of the camp may be obtained from the Ride Captain, Rob Wallace on 9330 5299 or at the Club's weekly ride meetings.
Availability of accommodation is very limited due to the large numbers of campers attending. Each member makes arrangements directly with Peppermint Park Eco Village. Most members book a space for their caravan or book a chalet months in advance. A good tip for latecomers is to ask for space for a small tent only.
Various optional activities are arranged on most days. Bike rides around Busselton are organised every day. The caravan park has excellent facilities, and the beaches are about ten minutes walk away.
