Before the twilight ride

In February 2008 we had our new camping adventures in Busselton at Peppermint Park Eco Village, with the most members ever staying and enjoying themselves. Our second stay at Peppermint Park Eco Village was a very relaxed happy stay, plenty of cycling if you wished. Ken led the 8 o'clock group, Cliff and Nick the 8.30 and Ross the 9 o'clock. We had a night coffee ride and a Fish 'n Chips night ride. Twice we were the guests of Geographe Cycle Club. As usual, they put on a huge spread for morning tea; we well outnumbered their members on the first ride.

We had plenty of non-riding socials as well. The happy hour was a rest period before dinner with a nice cold beer, wine or harder stuff for some; yes, we had fun. Our Club had been spoiled for nearly 12 years with morning tea by the Geographe Club. This year we invited their members to be our guest for a reciprocal dinner sausage sizzle. Our members made up a delicous array of salads to share with each other. Geographe's 17 members were very appreciative and happy to be with us.
